Reflections: September 10th

Greetings!

Today we are going to look at what we learned last week, and then what we are going to learn about this week on the blog.

Last Week

Last week we we analyzed chapters from A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurโ€™s Court.

We also looked at the impact of smallpox on medieval society and a turn-of-the-century boom town. We also revealed some facts about the life of a serf and saw how marginalized Americans interpret the idea of American life.

Lastly, we celebrated 13 years blogging!

This week

This week we are going to continue reading Mark Twainโ€™s novel for our book study. We are going to summarize and analyze the next five chapters and learn more about Hank Morgan’s quest.

Similarly, we are going to analyze another Word of the Week and spend some time thinking about the Gilded Age. We are also going to revisit an older blog post, and try to outline a book I have not read for a broader context of Twain’s work and how it relates to our reading.

Hope you stop by for a visit this week!
