Greetings, and welcome to another edition of Reflections, where I explain the happenings from the week before and the week ahead. We have a good deal of material to get through next week, so let’s begin our journey now!
Last week
We started the week by reading The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood chapters 6-10, which involved Robin meeting a host of characters to help him on his journeys. We also learned about life during medieval times and how character development shaped some of the characters in the novel so far.
I also shared some of my favorite reads from the beginning of a literary journey, and we analyzed the tropes behind making a compelling villain in a story. Moreover, we read about The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley and deciphered “Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne,” a medieval ballad.
