Reflections: August 27th, 2023

Greetings!

Today we are going to look at what we learned, and what we are going to learn about this week on the blog.

Last Week

Last week we looked at chapters from A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court that detailed the meeting of Morgan Le Fay. Our protagonist Hank Morgan also examined the rationale of the locals and explored the Fay dungeon.

We also examined correlative conjunctions, and how Morgan le Fay embodies the qualities of a medieval and colonial witch.

Furthermore, we used a quote from a very funny Arthurian satire to explore medieval and colonial logic. And, we read and analyses a poem about the rain (tis the season).

Lastly, we stepped into the realm of folklore to study wendigos and their symbolism in the new age.

This week

This week we are going to continue reading the Mark Twain’s novel for our book study. Additionally, we have another grammar study and an exploration of a quote about dungeons.

Toward the end of the week we are going to investigate another film that fits within literary circles and finally get around to compiling some Arthurian media for further study.

Hope to see you on the blog this week!
