I was going to post a Literary Quotes post from Mark Twain today but ended up in Northern Michigan for a much-needed sabbatical.
I brought The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury with me and an abridged version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. Even though I didn’t read much while upstate, I still listened to a reading of “Ancient Lights” by Algernon Blackwood.
Meanwhile, the trees were starting to turn that orangish-yellow color. Others were bright orange and some were just plain red. Fall is here.
Additionally, we stopped by a bookstore, and bought a few books for my daughter. A Bluey magnet book, a Lego craft book, and a book called Creepy Crayon, which I think is the best out of the mix.
I will be getting back to regular posting tomorrow.
